Kelsey is a Designer + Maker based in San Francisco.
She kickstarted her professional career with Ralph Lauren Home designing a vast range of products across multiple categories, including but not limited to: dinnerware, barware, stemware, flatware, vases, hurricanes, desk sets and decorative accessories.
She's experienced in working with a wide range of materials - from metals to ceramics to mixed material, multi component products. She has worked directly with vendors while traveling to factories across Asia and Europe and designed everywhere from entry level to luxury price points simultaneously.
Kelsey is currently a Senior Designer for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. focusing on hard goods and external collaborative collections under the Pottery Barn brand. Most recently, she was responsible for stepping in for the Director of Collaborations during MLOA to drive the design of external collaboration collections.
In addition to her retail work, she was invited to participate in USM's 50th anniversary Master Class - an international workshop at Domaine de Boisbuchet where she worked collaboratively with internationally renowned designers from across the world (this work was later exhibited at Salone De Mobile in Milan and Wanted Design in NYC).
Curious by nature and always chasing the next challenge - in her spare time Kelsey designs and builds her own light fixtures. Her lighting was recognized by the James Dyson Foundation, who awarded her a grant to fund her senior thesis which produced a universal lighting part designed to facilitate up cycled lighting.
Kelsey earned her BFA in Product Design from Parsons the New School for Design, where she graduated with the School of Constructed Environments: Product Design Award for sustained achievements and academic excellence.
